**Position**:Employment Coach

**Contract**:Full Time, Permanent

**Hours**: 37.5 hours/week

**Location**: Wolverhampton

**Reporting to**: Team Leader / Senior Operations Manager

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Engage, build trust, and maintain effective rapport with participants, supporting them into sustainable employment, self-employment, or further training or education
- Complete diagnostic assessments with participants, including evaluations of participant circumstances and any potential barriers to achieving their goals
- Develop SMART action plans with participants to support them towards their goals and update these regularly to ensure they are effectively meeting participants’ needs
- Manage a caseload of participants and provide them with regular one-to-one support
- Regularly report on interventions, communication, progress, and outcomes against pre-agreed targets and metrics
- Complete all data collection necessary and ensure that participant data is managed and updated in real-time while adhering to data security policies and procedures
- Design, manage, and deliver a range of employability training and support interventions covering topics such as: CV writing, interview techniques, job search methods, mock interviews, building confidence and motivation
- Proactively motivate and support participants with their job search activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers and encourage them to provide opportunities for your participants
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to provide holistic support to participants, including through supporting participants into appropriate courses and providing them with appropriate careers guidance
- Attend meetings with key stakeholders and delivery partners

General Responsibilities:

- Maintain an awareness of and actively follow and promote Company policies, including, but not limited to, Safer Recruitment, Data Protection, Information Security, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent
- Undertake any training as required by Company policy and take responsibility for professional development
- Work to minimise our operational impacts on the environment
- Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Senior Operations Manager
- GCSEs at grade A*-C (new grades 4-9) in English and Maths, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications
- Experience in providing one-to-one support or coaching to positively influence other people’s professional or personal development
- Knowledge of local labour market and local training providers
- Knowledge of the benefits system and welfare to work programmes
- Experience working in the further education/ employability and skills training sector
- Demonstrable track record of achieving targets and KPIs
- Comprehensive understanding of recruitment and selection processes
- Understanding of good customer service practices
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including active listening
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver to groups
- Ability to show sensitivity and respect to all, demonstrating value for diverse views and opinions
- Ability to self-motivate to achieve KPIs and targets
- Ability to generate enthusiasm in others
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Skilled in collaboration; able to effectively work as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- IT proficient with an ability to use Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint

Desirable experience, knowledge, and skills:

- Experience working in the further education/ employability and skills training sector
- Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice, or Guidance (IAG)
