1. Role Summary The Clinical Informatics Officer will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, management, innovation, and strategic development of PELC clinical systems. The role will support the business in driving transformation and improving the use of clinical informatics to deliver value for money. 2.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Working jointly with the multidisciplinary team (Medical, Clinical and operational) to identify any changes/improvement to the clinical systems in line with service delivery specifications and organisational strategic plan. Working closely with the clinical safety officer ensure any changes/improvement meets effective clinical service delivery and contractual and national reporting requirements. Lead on reviewing Clinical System policies and standard operating procedures to ensure it is updated and reflective of service delivery. Act as Change Manager to lead on all improvement/changes associated to the clinical systems by conducting and documenting full review, production of detailed plan and carry out data Protection Impact assessment and Quality impact analysis of the required changes in line with national approved standards.

Establish ourselves as the primary point of contact between PELC and the system provider.You will achieve this by establishing an internal support service that provides high-level clinical informatics expertise, guidance to resolve minor issues, and escalation of major issues to the system provider. Collaborate with the Head of Resources and Operations team to facilitate the planning and implementation of necessary system changes and new developments Support the day-to-day operation and support of the designated back office systems and liaise with 3rd party suppliers. Embed digital solutions in clinical services, support innovation and strengthen the links between informatics, clinical services and partner agencies and promoting increased Clinical Informatics knowledge within clinical groups. Work with partner organisations in improvement programme.

**Key Working Relationships**: Internal: Collaborate with PELC staff, IT teams, clinical groups, and primary care contractors. External: Interact with 3rd party IT service suppliers and contractors, neighbouring NHS Trusts, and GP practices.
