Tool Maker

Diverse British Manufacturing organisation, exporting goods to over 50 countries worldwide, seeks an experienced **Tool Maker** to work within an established team. As **Tool Maker,** your role would be to regrind and rebuild various Progression Press Tooling, using conventional machinery.

The position of **Tool Maker** is offered as a permanent contract with competitive salary (dependent upon experience), flexible working hours between 36 and 40 hours per week, dependent upon work requirements, modern, clean working environmentand immediate start available.

**Tool Maker**job responsibilities include**:

- Tool splitting
- Disassembly and reassembly of tools
- Replacing component parts, dies, punches and springs
- Tool regrinding
- Problem solving and tool improvement
- Ensure that all tooling records are updated and complete
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
- Ensure that good quality product is produced to a high standard
- All parts produced are correct to drawing
- Use of grinders, milling machines, lathe and general engineering equipment
- Minimum six years’ Tool Making experience
- Time served apprenticeship
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to run shop equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to interpret drawings
- Set up and operate machine shop equipment i.e. lathes, mills, grinders
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis
- Must be motivated and able to work on own initiative

**Location**:Redditch, Worcestershire

**Hours of Work**: Mon-Thurs 7 am to 4.30 pm, Fri 7 am to 11 am

**Salary**: Negotiable dependent upon experience
