We are currently working with a dynamic and rapidly growing Company based in Waltham Abbey. This company, is known for its vibrant and social work environment, complete with pool tables and basketball nets in the staff areas.
**Job Title: Payroll Administrator**
**Location: Waltham Abbey**
**Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (1-hour lunch break)**
**Responsibilities**: As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the payroll team. Your responsibilities will include:
**Payroll**:
- Running end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients using Merit payroll software.
- Importing client payrolls, reconciling data, and raising/sending invoices.
- Preparing payment batches and managing the distribution of payslips.
- Sending Net pay SMS to workers and processing adjustments based on client requests.
**Queries**:
- Handling payroll queries from operatives via phone and managing a busy inbox.
- Liaising with clients to ensure smooth running payrolls.
- Escalating queries to the Payroll Manager when necessary.
- Sending out payroll documents such as Payslips, P45s, CIS Statements, etc.
**Adhoc**:
- Checking and distributing post to the team.
- Assisting Accounts & Compliance departments where tasks overlap.
- Learning and continuously expanding knowledge of HMRC & CIS legislation.
**Experience**: You must possess **at least 1 year of payroll administrative experience.** We are looking for a proactive, ambitious individual with an eye for detail, a team player, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
**Package**:
- Salary: £22,000 to £25,000 (dependent on experience).
- 20 days of holiday per year, increasing with service.
