We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor to help with enhancing employee relations across our three businesses, supporting both head office employees and operational teams.

**Working pattern**:Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:30, 1 hour lunch.

**Hybrid working**: 3 days on site / 2 days working from home. But you can work on site 5 days if you prefer.

**Travel requirements**:One of the working from site days each week will be spent at either our Hertfordshire or Sutton site, the other two site days in Herne Hill. Occasional travel to Manchester may be required on an ad-hoc basis.

**Reporting to**:Group Head of HR

**Salary**:up to £40,000 + up to £2,500 in KPI bonuses.

**Role overview**:
Reporting to the Head of HR, the Group Senior HR Advisor will work collaboratively with the Payroll and HR Administration Officer to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive HR service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Employee Relations (ER):_
- Lead and manage ER cases, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with UK employment legislation, providing expert advice to mitigate risks.
- Conduct investigations, disciplinary, and grievance meetings as required.
- Training and Development:_
- Advise and train line managers on HR best practices, promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Support learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Operational Team Support:_
- Provide specialised HR support to operational teams, including production operatives, warehouse operatives, and drivers.
- Collaborate with team leads to address specific HR challenges unique to operational environments.
- Decision-Making and Advisory:_
- Provide confident and informed HR advice to managers and employees.
- Collaborate with the Head of HR to contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration:_
- Work closely with the Head of HR to align HR practices with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with the HR Administration Officer to ensure seamless HR operations.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven experience as an HR Advisor with a focus on employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to provide sound HR advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in training and development initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to travel to other business locations when required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a central HR team.
- Confidence in managing and resolving complex ER cases with support of the Group Head of HR.
- The Senior HR Advisor will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive and supportive HR environment for both head office employees and our operational teams. This role requires a nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by production, warehouse, and transport teams, and a commitment to tailoring HR solutions that address their unique needs.
