Claire's are recruiting a Core Merchandiser to join the business on a 12 month fixed-term contract to support the wider Merchandising team whilst we are in the process of implementing a new system.

This is a hybrid role that will involve working 2 days a week at our European HQ in Birmingham.

The purpose of the role is to define and manage clusters, assortments and item eligibility. Overview of inventory management factors (such as peg cap and replenishment levels) to deliver in-stock rates and maximize sales and profitability in-line with key KPIs

**Duties will include**:
Establish and define assortment clusters to drive out targeted item eligibility from the total assortment

Overview of inventory management factors (such as peg cap and replenishment levels) in order deliver in-stock rates and maximize sales and profitability in-line with key KPI

Right stock, in the right place and at the right time - getting the correct balance between customer expectations and the company’s financial strategy

Formulate and analyse comprehensive data to make informed decisions regarding trading & investment

Ability to drive new processes and tools from start to finish

Establish and drive key KPIs alongside Planning & Allocation partners

Monitor DC on hand availability and escalate any issues or concerns

Review SKU productivity and option management, flagging poor sellers and end-of-life styles to be actively managed through the supply chain

Partner with Allocation function to define fulfilment and replenishment strategy

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this role we are ideally looking for applicants with the following skills and experience:
2/3 years' experience working in a Corporate Head Office environment

Highly analytical with experience of manipulating & summarising large data sets

Experienced in forecasting and budgeting

Strong mathematical skills

High degree of agility to navigate constantly evolving environments

Excellent communication skills & ability to partner across a wide number of stakeholders

Team player with the ability to flex from independent working to partnership & collaboration

Strong foundational inventory planning knowledge

Strong analytical ability to turn data into commercial output

Ability to work in the detail to drive results and decisions
