- Revalidation and appraisal processes for medical staff, consultant job planning
- Data Protection Act/GDPR and principles of data protection
- Medical workforce structures and terms and conditions including current junior doctor contract
- Employment legislation

**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Relevant clerical/administrative experience as part of a busy team
- Maintaining computer and manual records accurately and handling sensitive/confidential information
- Managing a varied workload, often under pressure

**Desirable criteria**:

- Using ESR and/or medical workforce software
- Developing processes and standard operating procedures
- Experience of working in the NHS

**Skills and aptitudes**:

- Excellent customer services skills, particularly working with very senior internal customers
- Confident working with people at all levels, internally or externally to the organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a courteous approach at all times
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills including ability to write reports
- Ability to use initiative to anticipate and solve problems
- Ability to organise and prioritise work methodically to achieve prescribed deadlines ensuring competing demands are met
- Ability to analyse complex information and identify appropriate recommendations
- Effective at working within and across teams
