Pertemps are proud to present this HR Advisor opportunity working for a fantastic client in Birmingham.
Reporting to the HR manager, the HR Advisor will be involved in managing employee relations and performance management. As such, you may be responsible for anything to do with HR, ensuring policies are consistent and HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.You will also take responsibility as the first port of call for all recruitment aspects in an organisation, including advising line managers and managing the onboarding process.**
**As a HR Advisor you will be working in a fast-paced environment but working conditions and relations are very friendly and you do need to be a people person.
Role and responsibilities:

- Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
- Reviewing and updating job descriptions, advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies
- Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns
- Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates
- Negotiating terms and conditions of employment with staff
- Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes
- Using HR information system, Mitrefinch to access, input and compile data
- Identifying development needs
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
- Researching and recommending performance evaluation methods
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
- Supporting the HR manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
- Driving the business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives
- Assisting in organising employer branding initiatives
- Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees and other HR team member

Skills and experience required:

- Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the best practice on recruitment and selection
- Experience in interpreting, advising and implementing such agreements and procedures
- Ability to use a HR information system including, accessing, inputting, and compiling data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to research, analyse and reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes Experience in working effectively in teams
- Ability to identify development needs
- A commitment to providing great customer service
- Ability to write and present information
- Experience in leading projects and implementing new initiatives
- Knowledge of Employment Law and ability to implement
- Ability to coach and influence at a range of levels
- Commercially aware with the ability to understand the business operations and targets
- Proven experience producing reports aligned to the HR metrics such as absence rates, turnover, vacancies, payroll analysis, temp labour usage

Benefits**:SALARY UP-TO £31,000.**
25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

8.00-5.00 Monday - Thursday
8.00 - 3.00 pm Friday
