Pawnbroker

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team in Ilford.

We are a very long-standing friendly independent pawnbroking business

The position is full-time permanent working 5 days a week. Occasional Saturdays are required (with a day in lieu midweek). Sundays and Bank holidays the office is closed.

Our business lends against luxury assets of all kinds including jewellery, gold, high value watches, luxury handbags, art and collectables. We have a large and diverse customer base who use our pawnbroker service and we also operate a Bureau de Change.

We work in an open office environment as a team. The job includes serving customers face to face, appraising valuables and issuing loans, dealing with customer phone calls and enquiries, general administration, serving customers purchasing currency (full training and guidance will be given throughout for all the above),
- **Will have experience in a similar field such as asset valuations, pawnbroking, gold or jewellery appraisal/sales, fine watch sales/appraisals, consumer credit or finance or cash handling.**:

- Will genuinely enjoy engaging with customers, meeting new people and having excellent communication/customer service skills
- Will be reliable and honest and well presented
- Will have good numeracy and literacy skills and basic IT literacy
- Will be keen to learn and happy to take on responsibilities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
