We are in search of a skilled Carbon Panel Prepper to contribute to the meticulous restoration and presentation of these luxurious, prestigious cars. This opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of £18.74 - £25 per hour (depending on experience) on a long-term contract basis. Working in a modern, bright, and airy facility on a Day-shift basis, Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 16.15pm) and Fridays (7.00am - 15.30pm) with the opportunity for overtime. **Responsibilities of the Carbon Panel Prepper**:
**Material Preparation**:

- Inspecting carbon fibre panels for defects or imperfections.
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces for prepping procedures.
- Ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available for the prepping process.

**Surface Prepping**:

- Sanding, buffing panels to remove old paint, imperfections, or surface contaminants.
- Filling any gaps, scratches, or dents with appropriate filler material.
- Ensuring a smooth and even surface for subsequent processes.
- Ensuring proper drying and curing times between primer coats.
- Masking off areas of the vehicle that do not require paint or treatment.
- Taping edges and seams to ensure clean lines and prevent overspray.

**Quality Control**:

- Inspecting prepped carbon fibre panels for any defects, imperfections, or areas needing touch-ups.
- Ensuring all surfaces meet quality standards and specifications.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborating with other team members such as painters, technicians, and supervisors to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Communicating any issues or concerns regarding the prepping process to relevant personnel.

**Equipment Maintenance**:

- Cleaning and maintaining prepping tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate manager.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while working with hazardous materials, tools, and equipment.
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as goggles, gloves, and masks as necessary.

**Documentation**:

- Maintaining accurate records of prepping procedures, materials used, and any quality control checks performed.
- Reporting completed tasks and progress to supervisors or project managers as required.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Actively seeking opportunities to improve prepping techniques, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Participating in training programs or workshops to enhance skills and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

**Requirements of the Carbon Panel Prepper**:

- ** Experience**: Proven experience in Preparation of panels / parts on vehicles. Ideally heritage, classic or high value bespoke vehicles
- ** Passion**: A deep appreciation for heritage and classic cars with a keen eye for detail.
- ** Skills**: Proficient in using various preparation tools and products suitable
- ** Adaptability**: Ability to adapt techniques based on the unique requirements of each heritage vehicle.
