We are looking for an Intake Supervisor with an interest in food and farming to join our team in Shepton Mallet. You must class yourself as a highly organised self-starter who can think on their feet and use initiative. You pride yourself on your attention to detail and excellent time management.

This role will require you to be a key crossover between the Operations and Supply Chain teams ensuring there is excellent communication between all team members and shift managers.

You will have the opportunity to develop key processes and rigorous procedures on intake alongside the Supply Chain team and to develop an expertise in Quality Assurance processes.

You will be a key contributor to the team by making quick decisions and working closely with our suppliers to ensure we are delivering quality products across our full range.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the intake process. This will include (but is not limited to) checking the arrival of products from suppliers, loading into the pick fridge, recording intake data, and checking product quantities.
- Quality control checks against specification (eg size, appearance, labelling etc)
- Assist with the documentation and returns of products that don’t meet our standards.
- Adhere to all Food Safety rules, regulations, and guidance and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- To provide clear and consistent communication with the Operations and Supply Chain team
- Stock management
- Support handover to the next shift manager

**Experience & Skills**
- Relevant supervisory experience
- Good team player
- Keen eye for detail and product quality
- Motivated to produce the best possible product and customer experience.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Physically fit and able to cope with prolonged periods on your feet.
- Hardworking and reliable.
- Good knowledge and interest of food/meat products
- Forklift truck licence advantageous

**More info**:
£12.50ph

Full Time - Monday to Friday. This is an hourly paid role, and you would typically work 45 hours a week, between 08.00 and 18.00. This equates to approximately £29,500pa.

Additional hours may be required in peak periods

Based full time in our Shepton Mallet office.
