**Technical Business Analyst (SQL)**

**Hybrid Working - Edinburgh - 1-2 days a month**

Lorien's Banking Client are currently looking for a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join the expanding team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious and ready to support stakeholders with Ad Hoc analysis and dataextracts, and preparation of business cases.

In this role, you will be responsible for Translating Technical requirements into User Documentation.

You'll be responsible for capturing, validating, and documenting business and system requirements and making sure that they are in line with key strategic principles. In the course of your work, we'll also look to you to build, manage, and maintain a positiveworking relationship with stakeholders and third-party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions.

**What You'll Do**:

- You will work with Product Owners and Business SMEs to elicit business requirements
- You will develop user stories to breakdown requirements into technical user stories for the development team
- You will use business driven design development to write user stories
- You will be comfortable with JSON format and use this to develop back-end users stories for the technical team
- You will be comfortable feeding requirements and refining stories based on feedback from developers and testers
- You will be comfortable running ceremonies with development teams such as backlog refinement and daily stand ups (where required)
- Agile development in particular Scrum or Kanban

**Key Skills**:

- Extensive experience in Business Analysis.
- **Experience working in Financial Services environment.**:

- **Experience working in High Street Banking environments.**:

- A strong sense of personal ownership/responsibility for the work they analyse and manage.
- Experience with Loans.
- **Understanding of Technical Requirements.**:

- Good communication and documentation skills in the English language.
- Strong experience working with technical teams to outline both front end and back-end business and technical requirements
- **Strong SQL skills**:

- **Strong experience reading/writing in JSON format**:

- **Good understanding of Microservices and APIs**:

- Strong Agile experience Agile/Scrum/Kanban
