Our client is an international company developing equipment to be used in laboratories and research institutions worldwide. The company develop and manufacture highly innovative new products and are looking to recruit a forward sourcing Buyer to ensure seamless end-to-end project sourcing. **Duties**:

- Responsible for end-to-end forward sourcing from pre-study to end of life including cost control, ramp up management, supply risk management, etc.
- Ensure alignment with the material category strategy regarding quality, cost and with R&D and logistics
- Plan, implement and coordinate supply chain management concepts for an efficient material flow from supplier to production for the whole life cycle of products
- Coordinate, execute and evaluate tenders
- Negotiations with supplies to obtain the best price, quantity and quality available

**Skills & Experience**:

- Degree qualified in engineering, chemistry, physics or similar
- Extensive experience of international procurement, supply chain management or development
- Must have a considerable knowledge of procurement and logistics
- Experience in forward sourcing in the context of a high-tech manufacturing essential
- Must have a strong technical understanding, ideally in electronics, polymers or mechanical processing
- Work experience in project management, ideally in agile development
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
- Must have excellent analytical and communication skills with a willingness to travel
- Business fluent in German and English preferable
