**Head of Cybersecurity Operations**
- **Location: Hybrid**:

- **6 month contract**:

- **£900-£1000 (umbrella)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization's information systems and data.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the cybersecurity team, including monitoring security events, analysing security logs, and investigating security incidents.
- Oversee the Implementation and maintenance security controls and technologies, such as Vulnerability Management, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security standards and requirements are met, and work with IT and software development teams to integrate security into their processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and security trends and make recommendations for security improvements.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Manage incident response and recovery efforts, and prepare incident response plans and playbooks.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Experience managing and leading small cybersecurity teams.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection systems.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks, such as SANS Incident Response Lifecycle, NIST CSF and CIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
