Job Description: Kitchen Assistant

Role Type: Part Time (approx 20-25 hours)

Location: HolmeStores, 41 South Street, Dorking, Surrey, England, United Kingdom, RH4 2JX

Are you passionate about food? Do you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at HolmeStores.

At HolmeStores, we try to spread happiness through food, creating memorable and meaningful guest experiences. As a Kitchen Assistant you will be an integral part of our kitchen team.

The role is varied and covers a broad range of tasks.

You could be:

- carrying in food deliveries and putting them into store
- washing up, cleaning ovens, dishes, pans and other equipment
- cleaning the floor and disposing of kitchen waste and rubbish correctly
- keeping kitchen walls and work surfaces clean
- bringing food in from the storeroom
- checking sell-by dates and rotating stock
- peeling and cutting vegetables or chopping meat
- preparing simple food
- using machinery such as grinders, mincers, slicers and mixers.

You should be:

- energetic and hard-working
- able to follow instructions
- able to multitask
- a fast worker
- a good team worker
- able to stay calm under pressure.

You should have:

- excellent communication skills
- an awareness of health, safety and food hygiene
- attention to detail.

Pay is fortnightly via bank transfer. You will also be eligible to a share of tips and service charge (aka tronc). You'll receive a free staff meal on shifts of 6+ hours.
