We at ASQ Education are looking to recruit a Learning Mentor to assist the Pastoral Team for one of the best schools in South London. The role is currently open and would require you to start as soon as possible.

To be considered for this role you must have relative experience working within schools, colleges, HEIs or PRUs. Previous experience working with vulnerable children or young people would be preferred. The school would also be open to a TA or LSA who hasprevious experience in supporting a relevant Pastoral Team.

**The Role**

The roles are based in one of the best schools in South London and have cutting-edge facilities available to its staff & pupils. The school are proud of its Pastoral Team and is looking for an individual who is both dependable, sensible, and resilient. Thereis also an opportunity that the school could decide to take you on permanently.

The roles vary from sensory specialists who will be assisted by an HLTA and mainly deal with pupils' sensory and concentration needs, 1 to 1 mentoring and supporting students with ADHD & Autism, as well as mentoring pupils more broadly over the key stages3 & 4 in lessons such as English, Maths and Science.

This is a role that necessitates you to have a real desire to support young and vulnerable students during their time in school. This is a school that will value you for the role you perform; they will make sure you feel supported and confident before anythingelse. The school aims to make a positive difference to its pupils every day. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a leading role in helping to contribute to the daily learning experiences and overall student development.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Experience and knowledge of working within a Pastoral Team or relevant experience working with vulnerable young people and children (Essential)
- To understand and approach Pastoral duties with the appropriate attitude & resilience
- The ability to support and control students in multiple settings: 1:1 and within group settings as well as maintaining control of any classroom
- To use your initiative and to be a leading role-model
- To be friendly and professional in your approach to staff & pupils alike
- You must have excellent time management and organizational skills
- You must always carry yourself in a friendly and professional manner
