JOB PURPOSE
- This post is responsible for providing support in the Technical Department and any additional support required within the factory.
- The post holder is aware that flexibility with regard to hours is required to ensure cover for annual leave, sickness, training etc. This will include shift and weekend work on a rotational basis.

MAIN DUTIES
- Provide adequate information and guidance to members of staff to ensure that work is carried out to the appropriate standards, safely and within timescales.
- Ensure daily requirements are met by;
- Undertaking project work identified by the Technical Manager
- Positive release checks
- Daily calibration of Scales / Thermometers
- Daily taste panel
- Collection of and sending of daily microbiology samples.
- Control end of line checks
- Document Control
- Process Audits
- GMP auditing and training
- Auditing of processes and producing related reports.
- Auditing of systems and procedures and producing related reports.
- Conduct training with individuals as instructed by Management.
- Cooperate with Departmental Managers to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Liaise with Senior and Departmental Management as appropriate.
- Actively contribute to the Management of Health and Safety at work and provide assistance as necessary.
- Cooperation with inspectors and auditors whilst on site providing relevant and accurate information as necessary.
- Provide hands on assistance as necessary to ensure that production levels are met, and company standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with Technical recording systems and Health & Safety requirements, reporting any discrepancies immediately to Management.
- Ensure Food Hygiene and HACCP standards are maintained to the prescribed company standards.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Additional training, including e-learning, attendance at external courses/seminars etc. Will be arranged as necessary.
