**About this job**
The UX/UI Designer will help build customer focused (including online) services for residents and businesses. This will be achieved through assisting user research and testing, building wireframes, prototypes, user stories, personas and working closely with researchers, analysts, and internal and external developers to make iterative improvements.

Specific accountabilities of the role
To work with your multi-disciplinary team and service managers to develop user stories, personas, wireframes and prototypes.
To generate new and useful user insights that lead to valuable, iterative improvement to user journeys.
To manage the usability and accessibility when designing services (such as online content, online forms and customer accounts).
To confidently explain user centred design and advocate those needs both within the team and the wider council.
To support the team in research, building and testing our online services.
To lead Design Studios/ requirements gathering/ workshops with stakeholders including staff and customers to design services and products

We're looking for someone passionate about user centred design and improving services for our customers.

The Customer Experience Team work with services across the council to improve experience for our customers (residents, businesses, partners). We're a multi-disciplinary team who work in Agile delivering quickly and improving our products based on customer feedback.

Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £40,614.00-£43,815.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
