Commissioning and installation engineer required at a manufacturing company in Bedford, MK42. This client specialises in the design and manufacture of land drainage, flood defence and sewage industry pumps.- £38,000 - £44,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Monday - Thursday 0815-1645, Friday 0815-1345
- 37.5 hours per week
- Based at Woburn Road Industrial Estate with travel to all UK regions with some overseas travel required

About the job
- Execute installations, commissioning, and site work to the highest quality, on time to schedule and to the satisfaction of our clients
- Recording all activities clearly on company documents.
- Assist in the production of the Commissioning Plan and update as necessary prior to commencement of commissioning
- Identifying and chasing any sub-contractor commissioning plans for implementation in above
- Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) if required
- Liaising with our suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process
- Report progress updates and progress issues to the Commissioning Manager/Project Manager
- Coordinating with engineering, planning, contract managers and the service team to meet BPL & customer contractual completion dates
- Full UK Manual Driving License
- Proven experience in mechanical & electrical assembly and installation associated with pump and pipework system.
- At least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar level commissioning role
- Excellent working knowledge of electrical / mechanical requirements and regulations
- Knowledge of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts
- An industry applicable City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
- A recognised qualification in CDM along with relevant experience
- CSCS card, EUSR Card Blue Water, Thames water passport, PASMA, IPAF
- Good communication skills
- Approachable and patient when dealing with customers and other sub-contractors
