Horticultural Tractor Driver

The CGM Group is a family-run business, founded in 1985 and provides a complete service to both commercial and domestic customers.

To form part of the Grounds Maintenance Team responsible for achieving high standards for the Maintenance of a variety of sites including schools, sports pitches, villages greens, private & public gardens & community homes.

What you'll be doing...
- To operate a range of commercial equipment including tractors, ride-on mowers, strimmers & hedge cutters
- To ensure all machinery, equipment and vehicles are well maintained at all times
- Ensuring all machinery, equipment, and vehicles used are fit for purpose, clean, and safely stored

Duties will include:
- Operating trailed gang mowers
- Side Arm Flailing of hedges and ditches
- Machinery Maintenance
- Verti Draining
- Slitting
- Overseeding
- Quadraplaying
- Rolling

Other Duties may include:
- Litter picking
- Strimming
- Pruning shrubs and hedges with mechanical and hand-operated equipment.
- Weeding
- Leaf collecting
- Edging
- Digging/forking of beds and borders
- Planting new areas
- Marking out of sports pitches

What we're looking for......

We are looking for a team player, with a proactive work ethic and the ability to get the job done

Essential Skills

Tractor driving and operations experience 2 years.

Current valid driving licence with category B1 + E

Commercial grounds maintenance experience

Able to recognise potentially hazardous situations/materials and respond accordingly

Good verbal communication skills

Literacy and numeracy skills

Ability to carry out manual work including lifting

Meeting work schedule set out by the management team.

Full DBS Check

Desirable

PA1 and PA6a spraying certificate
