An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Housing Standards Team for 2 x Housing Practitioners. The successful applicants will provide technical support in relation to inspecting residential accommodation and identifying health and safety hazards under the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS). The role will also include implementing the Council’s Housing Selective, and Additional House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Licensing Schemes. The permanent post will focus primarily on the licensing and standards of HMOs throughout the borough and the fixed term post will focus primarily on ‘single-family’ properties with poor housing standards.

Job requirements

We are keen to appoint enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with previous experience in inspecting and surveying premises.
