**Gateshead Cover Supervisor - Full Time (Monday - Friday)**

Schools Mutual Services is owned by a growing network of schools and academies across the United Kingdom, the recruitment service was set up several years ago by several education leaders, commended by the DfE. The service provides supply and recruitment services to education establishments across the country.

Our member school based in **Gateshead **is currently looking for a **Cover Supervisor** to join their team within the coming weeks.

**Your responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor**
- **Follow established procedures to establish and maintain a calm, respectful and purposeful working atmosphere in the class, building firm and trusting relationships with the pupils.**:

- **Explain the tasks clearly to pupils, check their understanding, and guide and support them throughout the lesson, maintaining a good pace, keeping them on-task, giving encouragement and appropriate feedback on progress to ensure that work is completed to a high standard in accordance with the teacher's instructions.**:

- **Ensure that all pupils of all abilities are enabled to do their best; be informed of pupils within different groups e.g. special educational needs; provide patient and appropriate support in accordance with individual education plans.**:

- **Log behaviour comments using our systems, both positive and negative, issuing punishments where appropriate.**
