**Vacancy**:Foundation Stage Supervisor, Little Acorns, Axminster Community Primary Academy

**Hours**:32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday; between the hours of 8.00am - 4.00pm;
**Tenure**: full time; 39 weeks per year (term time only)

**Pay Scale**:NJC Grade E16 - E22, depending on experience; £26,357 or £29,439

We are looking for a committed and passionate person to lead and drive forward the development of our nursery provision. Our nursery (Little Acorns) is part of the whole school community and you will be supported by a range of professionals working in the Trust including the Early Years Foundation Stage Lead, the SENDCos as well as other members of the Senior Leadership Team.

You will promote high quality early years provision and create a culture where every child succeeds and reaches their potential. You will need a strong knowledge of phonics teaching and the ability to develop a continuous EYFS provision. You will need the ability to work with all stakeholders to develop the best quality provision for our youngest and most vulnerable children.

Your duties will include:

- Taking responsibility for the welfare and safety of all the children in our nursery
- Promoting positive behaviour from children and to assist in establishing good standards of behaviour throughout the nursery
- Working closely with other members of staff to establish the highest standards of achievement, within a learning environment which reflects current excellent practice for very young children.
- Planning and implementing appropriate learning experiences within a stimulating learning in a nursery environment
- Organising and resourcing a classroom environment which will facilitate children’s autonomous, independent learning and enable them to maximise their full potential
- Being sensitive towards children’s individual learning needs and making appropriate educational provision for children with SEN.
- Leading and being responsible for day to day safeguarding within Little Acorns, referring to Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) when necessary.
- Establishing and maintaining good partnerships with colleagues, parents and carers, outside agencies and children including good home-school link
