**The Role: Catering Assistant - Kitchen porter at Austen Place - Retirement Living Plus - McCarthy Stone Lower Turk St, Alton GU34 1FZ**

**Weekends **10-3pm

**Rate of Pay**: £11.44

Are you passionate about food, people and great service?

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work within catering service, which boasts a welcome and friendly atmosphere.

The purpose of the post is: To provide a high quality and passionate catering service to students, staff and visitors.

The main duties and responsibilities are:
**Service**
- Keep the kitchen and area clean at all times.

**Food Preparation**

**.To assist with preparation and layout of the food counters**
- To maintain correct food storage and holding temperatures at all times.

**General**
- To act at all times within the current Health and Safety at Work regulations.
- To provide a support and guidance to work experience placements.
- Promote excellent customer service to all customers.
- Carry out any other reasonably comparable duties that may be required from time to time.
- Undertake additional duties as required.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
- Experience in a similar role an advantage but full training will be given.
- Have a flare for communication and enjoy working as part of a team.
- To remain, at all times, respectful of equal opportunities.

Safeguarding is of the upmost importance to Radish therefore you will be required to complete a full DBS Clearance.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £11.44 per hour
