Our client is a solutions provider giant in the industrial sector and are based in over 60 countries worldwide. They are looking for a talented category buyer to come in and hit the ground running and join their growing team in Goldthorpe.

Role Overview
- Deliver the Supply Chain Category strategy in line with the business objectives.
- Management and ownership of designated categories of spend, covering the purchase of goods and services, and the hire of plant and equipment.
- Work with the procurement team and wider business stakeholders to determine purchasing needs and forecast requirements.
- Assist with vendor consolidation and rationalisation in line with the category plan.
- Pre-qualify vendors, ensuring compliance is to organisational requirements.

**Skills**:

- Experienced in Procurement who is CIPS accredited or working towards CIPS.
- Experience of at least 2+ years in managing tender programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation skills and other ERP software/systems.
- Procurement cost management and analysis skills and contract management skills.
