Yardman/forklift Driver

Fabplus is a market -leading pipe fabrication company for the Mechanical and Sprinkler Industry. Located in Strabane, Co. Tyrone, we use state of the art systems including precision cutting, threading, grooving and automated welding. Our service is based on experience, knowledge and reliability.

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Yardman**/**Forklift Driver with a minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.**

**The Job**

Key responsibilities will include:

- Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in warehouse.
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as lorries.
- Moving pipes and goods packed on pallets or in crates around the yard/warehouse.
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
- Checking loads are secure.
- General yard duties

**Selection Criteria/Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Ability to drive a forklift and maintain a high standard yard and support other production duties.
- 2 years previous Forklift driving experience preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others, promoting a safe work environment.
- Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme

COVID-19 considerations:
Face coverings are worn across the factory and all employees complete Lateral flow testing twice a week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Strabane, BT82 9QR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
