Cfo Professional Services Business

Marks Sattin Executive Search are working with a professional services business seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their growing team in Essex (Hybrid - 3 days a week in office). As a business soon to be acquired bya Private Equity house, this is a unique opportunity for an accomplished CFO to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization.
As CFO, you will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and management of the company. You will work closely with the executive team and Private Equity firm to drive business growth and profitability, identify opportunities for strategic expansion,and ensure that the financial operations of the business are conducted in a highly effective and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion strategic financial leadership that drives growth and profitability, while working alongside a dynamic CEO and leadership team.
- Design game-changing financial policies, procedures, and systems for optimum management of financial resources that empower success.
- Play a critical role in identifying acquisition opportunities and leading the acquisition cycle, building a high-performing finance team that fuels both organic and M&A growth.
- Direct and oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations with precision and confidence.
- Qualified accountant, preferably chartered
- Proven experience as a CFO in a private equity-backed business, ideally in the Professional Services/Consultancy sector
- Experience overseeing M&A activity, and in 'Buy and Build' environments
- Strong leadership and management skills, capable of professionalising a business
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
