Bouygues Energies and Services currently has an exciting opportunity within our catering team for a Kitchen Porter to support our catering facilities at King’s College London in Waterloo.

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours p/week, 8 hours per day (rostered for 9 hours with a 1 hour unpaid break) to be completed typically between 07:00 and 19:00 (please note there will be some earlier start and finish times, business dependent), 5 days from 7.

Please note there will be a requirement in the contract to work weekends as and when required, in particular for the three summer months of June, July and August due to weekend hospitality events/summer schools.

**The role**:

- Reports to the Head Chef/Supervisor
- To assist with all aspects of cleaning within the food production areas
- To assist with the receipt of catering supplies and deliveries and with general house-keeping of store areas
- To clean all designated areas and equipment according to the cleaning roster and to keep all catering working areas clean during and after service
- To assist in the preparation and service of events
- To operate dishwashers and pot washers
- Working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days from 7

**The person**:

- Previous experience in a similar role/working in a high volume catering operation essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a willingness to learn
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and COSHH, including Basic food hygiene certificate
- Previous health and safety training is desirable
