**Conformance Product Design and Review Manager**
**Glasgow**

As a Barclays Conformance Product Design and Review Manager, you will play a key role in a newly created team established to drive assurance and conformance style activities. The team has been established to significantly uplift Second Line of Defence oversight of the New and Amended Product Approval (NAPA) process. The NAPA process plays a critical role in the identification and management of product risk in Barclays, delivering a high-profile programme of enhancement to the NAPA process to the highest standards.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Identifying areas of weakness in the design or execution of the NAPA process, driving change in the associated Policies, Standards, and control frameworks
- Evidencing robust systems and controls to key regulators across multiple jurisdictions
- Ensuring all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards
- Supporting the planning of the newly created NAPA conformance programme it’s timely and effective execution
- Identifying areas of control weakness, process failures in both retrospective and real-time activities through both targeted reviews and continuous monitoring
- Assisting the delivery of a key work stream in the programme enhancing the NAPA process, focusing on establishing uplifted conformance capabilities
- Handling delivery of targeted reviews of a wide range of programme materials to ensure the highest standards
- Working in collaboration with colleagues across Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit to provide a coherent and joined-up approach to assuring the NAPA process

**What we’re looking for**:

- Audit, Assurance, Conformance or Monitoring and Testing background or Operational and Conduct Risk
- A pro-active person with the ability to support the delivery of complex activities in an independent manner
- Highly organised and able to work independently on own initiative and multitask
- Solid analytical skills and excellent communication and presentation skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Practical experience of Operational Risk frameworks, acquired with a managing bank/ financial services organisation or consultancy
- Knowledge of the PD&R Policies and Standards more broadly and understanding of how PD&R is linked with other elements of the Operational Risk Framework e.g., RCSA’s
- Communication and Presentation skills including excellent PowerPoint skills
