Mechanic/fitter

**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Plant Manager

**Primary Responsibilities**
- ŸCarry out servicing, repair and maintenance on FoundOcean equipment’s inclusive mixers, pumps, winches and silos.
- ŸInspect mixer mechanical/electrical components to assess works required and to diagnose faults and remedies required.
- ŸRepair or replace broken or defective parts and resolve defects.
- ŸCarry out required function testing of equipment’s.
- ŸAssist in mobilisation and set up of all plant and equipment
- ŸWork under the supervision of FoundOcean Workshop Manager
- ŸComplete all service sheets and associated paperwork as required.
- ŸCarry out basic fabrication skills including small welding tasks.
- ŸBe prepared to occasionally deploy to various sites to carry out maintenance and repair activities.

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment.
- Know, understand, communicate and ensure compliance with the safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and Code) and safety policies and procedure concerning maintenance and repair activities.
- Comply with the Company’s and where appropriate the Client’s Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure that all Quality and operational procedures as identified in the Company’s QA Manuals are adhered to at all times.
- Report all safety related issues and monitor compliance of HSE standards in the workshop and yard area.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- ŸPossess relevant Fitter qualification.
- Experience of electrically powered plant, pneumatic controls and hydraulics.
- ŸKnowledge of concrete delivery pipework/valve arrangements beneficial
- ŸKnowledge of health and safety requirements and standards
- Previous experience working within an offshore organisation beneficial
