The Nelson Trust’s award winning Women’s Centres provide holistic, gender-specialist support to women facing multiple disadvantages, including women involved (or at risk of being involved) in the criminal justice system.

This exciting role is an opportunity to be part of an innovative service providing holistic, trauma-informed support to Women with multiple complex needs that have experience substance misuse. This is with the aim of reducing social harms, offending, addiction, and empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential.

The post holder will work from the Swindon Women’s Centre and will co locate with the local drug and alcohol service once a week. There will also be scope to support women returning into the community from Eastwood Park ensuring that women in the community and returning from custody, receive holistic wrap-around support, including access to and sustained engagement in substance misuse treatment.

As Women’s Recovery Keyworker you will provide high quality, innovative gender responsive support and interventions to a caseload of women experiencing substance misuse and complex needs.

It will be a key part of you role to be independent, dynamic and enthusiastic in your approach to joint work with the client and professionals to ensure you will provide high quality, trauma-informed and person-centred support.
