Weighbridge Operator

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Weighbridge Operator to join our team in Falkirk.

The main role of the Weighbridge Operator is to oversee site access and to operate the weighbridge and associated systems, to ensure waste receipt is recorded, and that waste transfer, acceptance, and disposal is compliant with statutory and company procedure.

**Main duties will include**:

- Monitoring incoming waste to determine waste types and quantities to ensure conformity to site permit
- Receiving vehicles to site, checking correct paperwork, selecting correct details from ISYS system for completion of weighbridge ticket, then directing vehicles to correct area on site
- Completing weighbridge inspections, identifying any defects, and filling out appropriate paperwork
- Reporting any weighbridge defects to management and maintenance team
- Directing waste / consumable / residue carriers to follow the designated route to the tipping hall and designated route to exit of site
- Controlling the number of vehicle movements into site and liaising with customers and peers with regards to traffic management
- Monitoring compliance of site rules by customers' drivers and reporting any vehicle contravening site rules or breaking speed limits
- Understanding and managing risks and hazards associated with weighbridge
- Complying with on-site health and safety and compliance procedures

- Administration and/or weighbridge experience desirable

**Desirable Skills** Knowledge of ISYS weighbridge software would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given as part of the Weighbridge Operator role.
