We have recently announced the creation of Pilgrim's Shared Services, a fourth stand-alone company, which will bring together some of the support functions of our current three businesses (Moy Park, excluding France and Netherlands, Pilgrim's UK & Pilgrim'sFood Masters). Its purpose is to deliver a high-quality shared service to those three businesses.
As the business grows, this shared service will broaden opportunities for career development as part of a far larger organisation. We will also continue our investment in technology to drive efficiencies and improved ways of working.
The Shared Services company includes a dedicated Continuous Improvement function, whose core responsibility is to drive positive business transformation across the business. Reporting to the Payroll Team Lead, we are pleased to advise that we are now recruitingfor a Payroll Clerk.
The Role
This role is as a member of Pilgrim's shared Services centralised Payroll team, reporting to the Payroll Team Leader and has specific responsibility for processing of Weekly or Fortnightly or 4-Weekly or Monthly paid employees.
The role will consist of ensuring accurate and timely processing of all wage payments to our factory based operatives across multiple sites (Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland & Great Britain). To review and process all available wage data, including workedhours, additional payments, statutory payments, etc
The role also entails accurate review and reporting of related payroll information i.e. management reporting, month end holiday information, worked hours breakdowns etc. Liaising closely with relevant linked departments (HR, Accounts) to ensure accurate transferof information. Maintaining SOX compliance is a major factor within this role.

- Knowledge & previous experience of a payroll environment
- Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail
- Self-disciplined to follow documented instructions
- Data entry skills and experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to identify and escalate issues
- Excellent communication skills responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders
- Good interpersonal skills within a team
- Experience maintaining data with a high level of data accuracy
