Dunfermline, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Fife Adult Acquired Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) service due to changes within our current staffing. We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist who would relish working with colleagues to support the ongoing development of a service which is responsive to national drivers and local needs.

This post is based in Queen Margaret Hospital and you will liaise closely with the Clinical Lead Therapist to support service delivery to inpatients across the hospital site, including the stroke rehabilitation ward, and west Fife community. Working with adults with acquired conditions, their families / carers and other professionals you will implement personal outcomes focused intervention. Clinical decision making in the service is supported by Care Aims, so an understanding of this methodology would be an advantage.

You will be given opportunities to demonstrate leadership within your role and will contribute to the ongoing development of a quality service within the tiered model of intervention. Fife is a forward-thinking service with a well
- developed peer facilitation / supervision model and a strong commitment to staff wellbeing and development. The service supports a blended model of remote, on-site and home working for non-clinical / non-interventional activity associated with individual posts. The SLT service is professionally managed within the Integrated Primary and Preventative Care Services division of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.

Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
