Kitchen Assistants are good at following instructions and can handle multiple kitchen tasks, they must have the ability to remain calm and work pro-actively. They must also have the ability to carry and lift objects throughout the kitchen regularly and communicate clearly with other kitchen staff. Their primary duties include assisting the Chef’s and cook line, stocking ingredients, food preparation and cleaning the kitchen.

**Duties to include, but not limited to**:

- Food preparation.
- Assisting the chef on duty with service.
- Checking used-by labels and stock rotation.
- Accepting and unloading deliveries into correct spaces.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen space.
- Assisting and executing tasks and documentation completion in-line with best practice.

**Requirements and skill**:

- Attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to prepare a wide range of kitchen ingredients.
- Positive approach to each shift, task and team members.
- Level 2 Food & Hygiene desirable.
