**Job summary**:

- Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. You will be working within the Foreign National Offender (FNO) Returns Command managing your caseload through the relevant processes, including decision making, detention, bail and case progression, taking timely and accurate action and dealing with each person in accordance with our policies.

FNO Returns Command is responsible for considering the deportation of foreign nationals who have received a criminal conviction within the UK.

These roles will be based in Stoke-on-Trent and may involve some, or all of the following:

- Considering whether deportation should be pursued against foreign nationals who have been convicted of a criminal offence within the UK. This may include:

- A claim of modern slavery
- A claim for international protection submitted during the deportation process.
- Efficient monitoring and progression of allocated cases through to conclusion, ensuring all decisions made are fully compliant with immigration policy and legislation.

- Effective IT skills with ability to quickly learn to use new/different IT platforms.

**Desirable** Criteria**
- Experience/knowledge of the immigration system or national security issues.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
