Our client, a forward thinking and rapidly expanding business in South Norfolk, are seeking a confident and driven Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This is a new role and is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified individual looking to maketheir first move out of practice.
This role will support the Financial Accounts team with delivering external reporting, cash flow monitoring, and management of technical areas of the balance sheet. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders from inside and outsidethe business to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, deliver process improvements in the Group's technical accounting areas and support the Financial Accounts team with Investor Relations and Sustainability Reporting.
The opportunity will suit a qualified accountant who is ambitious and self-motivated. You will be part of a strong team of dedicated peers and you will be comfortable engaging with peers, senior colleagues and external auditors/advisors to deliver reportingon a timely and accurate basis. You will have a strong technical background and be comfortable with IFRS 16 accounting, and we will encourage you to develop your skills and career with us.
Key responsibilities and tasks include:

- Preparation of external reporting, including Group Annual Report and subsidiary financial statements;
- Completion of the monthly IFRS 16 accounting including processing journals and reconciliation of account balances, ensuring accounting treatment of costs is appropriate and ensuring judgement areas are proactively highlighted to management;
- Assist the Integration Accountant with review of completion accounts prepared by seller accountants in order to finalise and agree final consideration payments due to sellers;
- Key understanding of technical areas which effect the group such as IFRS 16 and researching accounting under IFRS and preparing papers for technical committee review to ensure the Group is compliant with IFRS;
- Ownership and reconciliation of technical areas on the balance sheet;
- Technical calculations/models such as share based payments and hedge accounting;
- Preparation of daily cash flow forecasting and support management of loan facility;
- Assisting the wider finance team as required on any ad-hoc duties.
Key skills required:

- A Qualified accountant
- Have a strong technical knowledge, particularly of IFRS accounting standards
- Are exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple conflicting deadlines including external deadlines
- Have strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders
- Are highly proficient in using Excel
