Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and dynamic individual to join our Physiotherapy Department at West Midland Hospital. The successful post holder will assist in delivering a smooth and efficient administration service, working within a demanding but rewarding environment, contributing to patient care. You will ensure that patients’ appointments are booked in a timely and professional manner; using our Electronic Patient Records (EPR) system, Maxims. Providing the best service to our patients is vital and you will therefore be passionate about patient care and customer service.

In order to provide a patient focused service, an excellent telephone manner is essential as is the ability to work calmly under pressure and to use your initiative. You will have good administration skills and have the ability to organise and prioritise the workload whilst working under pressure. You will have proven experience in administration and customer service, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a customer first approach in all activities including manning reception, answering the telephone and dealing with queries and complaints.
- Book appointments, manage clinic lists and enter data using MAXIMS
- Use Microsoft Office and excel to produce general letters and reports.
- Liaise with patients, GP’s and Consultants both face to face and on the telephone.
