We are looking for a supportive, compassionate, inspiring leader to lead the Elderly Care and Medicine Occupational Therapy teams at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
- To ensure a timely and effective occupational therapy service is delivered across inpatient specialities by helping to monitor staffing levels and workload capacity on a daily basis, providing relevant advice and information to the Professional Lead for OT and the Head of Therapies as needed.
- To support patient flow throughout the inpatient specialties, attending Discharge Operational Meetings and undertaking key related actions.
- To be responsible for the operational management and clinical leadership of the elderly care and medicine occupational therapy teams in conjunction with the Professional Lead for OT, including the day-to-day management of authorising equipment, supervising staff and providing clinical support.
- To be an advanced specialist Occupational Therapist in the management of adult and elderly patients within an acute hospital setting; having a comprehensive understanding of the complex needs affecting a range of population groups.
