The post holder will provide professional administrative skills to contribute to the efficient running of the Health, Safety and Security Team and provide general assistance within the wider Quality and Clinical Care Directorate.

Contribute to the promotion of a culture continuous quality improvement within all facets of the Trust.

The post holder will at all times promote and uphold the values and beliefs of the Trust, be focused on delivering the highest quality patient care, and improving the working lives of staff.

Deal with routine matters relating to the Health, Safety and Security (HSS) Team, ensuring urgent work is brought to the attention of the Health, Safety and Security Officers or Health, Safety and Security Manager in their absence and in accordance with the Trust procedures.

Administrate and maintain the Incident Reporting System for all Health and Safety incidents including reports to the Health and Safety Executive under RIDDOR.

Monitor and collate relevant information to support management in producing reports for Trust Committees, Groups, and other Forums, as appropriate.

Administrate and maintain the central register of risk assessments and actions.

Maintain the Trust’s Health and Safety intranet page.

Act as administrator to the Committee by arranging meetings, circulating papers, taking minutes and monitoring the action register.

Assist with the purchasing and ordering of supplies required by the HSS Team.

Take a part in activities that lead to personal and/or team growth. Attend training or undertake qualifications as required by the role. Take a lead in identifying own development needs.

Attend supervision and appraisal sessions with the Deputy HSS Manager.
