Overall Purpose of Job
- To deliver best practice facilities management procurement solutions for our internal and external clients in line with the agree procurement timeline.
- To maintain and develop the approved and preferred suppliers lists across the Real Estate Management and Occupier business lines ensuring Avison Young have the right suppliers in place to meet our business needs and objectives.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Responsible following the agreed procurement processes meeting both BS8572 and RICS code of practice for the procurement of facilities management services.
- Responsible for assisting the Lead Procurement Consultant on Procurement Strategy.
- Responsible for providing commercial support including production of contracts, use of Hello Sign and management of the contract schedule.
- Manage an RFI process and supply chain support.
- Assisting the team on managing an RFP process including assisting with quality and financial analysis and writing the first draft of the tender report.
- Assessment of suppliers following the submission of an Approved Supplier Questionnaire and managing the ‘Annual Statement of Truth’ process.
- Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on the supplier vetting process.
- To develop and build market intelligence and capability matrix of our top suppliers on a nationwide, regional and city basis, identifying and closing any gaps in our supply chain requirements.
- Ability to identify innovation and best practice from our supply chain.
- Supporting the procurement and consultancy team in other fee-earning activities and internal projects as required.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

**Experience**
- Previous facilities management or procurement experience.
- Preferably Property Investor and Property Occupier client experience.
- Some understanding of public sector procurement.
- Good procurement knowledge and understanding of the procurement process and supply chain. management.
- Facilities management knowledge preferred.
- An understanding of contract law.
- Experience of using a procurement portal.

**Skills**
- Good analytical skills.
- Excellent written, and good oral and presentation skills.
- Must have good IT Skills and good all-round ability to use all Microsoft office packages including Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent word skills to deliver high quality tender reports.
- Excellent Excel skills able to manipulate and arrange data sets over multiple tabs and workbooks, graph creation and use of various advanced formulas.
- Needs to be able to work on their own initiative as well as contribute as a member of a wider team.

**Qualifications**
- MCIPS desirable but not essential.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities management and/or procurement.
