SPR are currently recruiting **Catering Assistants within the Erdington area.**

SPR are currently recruiting for our client withing the Birmingham area, and seeking passionate **Catering Assistants**, to join them in delivering an unbeatable pupil journey

**Essential Requirements**:

- Enhanced DBS - Children’s
- Relevant experience is preferable

**Position Overview**: You will be responsible for providing a professional catering service, ensuring all high standards are maintained and that expectations are met in line with the agreed objectives.

**Working Instructions**:
Location: Erdington

Pay Rate: Competitive

Hours: the role may be full/time (37 hours) or part-time, term time only (including INSET days)

**Overall Responsibilities**:

- To provide a positive friendly customer service for all pupils, staff and visitors using the facility.
- Prepares & cooks food items by using required methods such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock food items and other necessary supplies
- To prepare the service area, hot cupboards, and other equipment
- To serve food according to the style and type of operation
- To clean daily
- To inform the cook in charge of any defects in heavy equipment or of premises not meeting Health and Safety and/or Food Hygiene Regulation Standards
- To assist in the production of food for special events, theme days and functions.
- To take part in school training as and when requested.
- Manage wastage through correct product measurement.
- To assist in the smooth running of the food service to include assisting in the preparation, production & service of hot food, sandwiches, salads, baked goods and all other food served as part of the school’s food offer.
- Ensure you comply with Health & Safety legislation and all practices and procedures are conducted in a way that meets the relevant requirements for the wellbeing of others.
