Normanton is home to our head office and is also where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables.

Several of our support functions are based here as well as the majority of our Commercial and buying teams. Our pack house is in operation 24 hours a day and 364 days a year, employing over 700 colleagues. We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Production Operatives to Technical Managers, Business Unit Administrators to IT Specialists.

*About the role*

We have a very exciting and rare opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Specialist to join our busy Normanton Head Office.

Reporting to our Corporate Services Director, you will carry out the below main duties;
- Facilitate the development of a social media strategy for IPL that incorporates the use of a variety of platforms such as Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook
- Design digital media campaigns to ensure business objectives and messages are clearly communicated to all audiences
- Coordinate the creation of digital content for social media channels and internal communication platforms including the Talent and Development Portal and company intranet
- Using a content management system (CMS) assist with the maintenance and update of the IPL Corporate and Careers Website.
- Use market expertise to input into the creative content of our web based technology
- Help to embed new social media and online technology, supporting the People team projects and wider business initiatives
- Monitor all social media activity and ensure responses are compliant with IPL social networking policy
- Establish Web presence to boost brand awareness and monitor the impact on IPL’s employee value proposition
- Support with the design and implementation of recruitment attraction plans, including the design of innovative Web based advertising
- Maintain a strong online company voice through social media
- Make recommendations to the People Team regarding our social media and digital strategy
- Design content and update internal media screens to ensure content is current and relevant to IPL colleagues
- Contribute to the IPL communications plan, making recommendations exploring all channels available
- Monitor ROI and KPIs

*This is a Monday - Friday role, with the hours of 8:30am - 5pm.*

*Experience required*
- Proven work experience as a Digital Media Specialist or similar
- Solid knowledge of media editing software
- Experience with visual communication principles
- Compiling effective copy for internal and external communications
- Qualified to A level English or equivalent
- Qualification in Marketing, Digital Media or other relevant field (Desirable)
