Senior Acquisition and Disposal Officer

Contract to start on 26-02-24 until 26-05-24 with a possible extension.
**Job Purpose**:
This is a significant support role covering various high volume and high value acquisition programmes and support on a broad range of day-to-day residential property issues.
The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of systems, procedures and their day-to-day smooth running.
To resolve day-to-day operational issues in relation to the legal conveyancing of acquisitions and disposals and escalation of issues to manage risks and prevent financial loss.
The post holder will be required to negotiate price, commission market valuations and surveys, co-ordinate conveyancing and commission works and carry out complex financial, and technical appraisals on a wide variety of programmes.
The post holder will be required to work closely with the Senior Estate Surveyor to support effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, such as internal clients, solicitors and surveyors and help implement creative and responsive solutions to deliver the required outputs.
**Responsibilities**:
Make a positive contribution to the delivery of the service, this will include working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the client.
Manage and lead staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, including developing and improving staff capability.
Manage a customer focused service and the effective use of resources.
Ensure that the client’s overall vision, values and ethos are central to the requirements of the service.
Support effective working relationships and act as an ambassador and advocate with external organisations.
Keep up to date with developments in service delivery and best practice to ensure the service performs effectively and to the highest standards.
Being involved in and contributing to every stage of the acquisition and disposal programmes.
To identify blockages and issues in the legal conveyancing process and recommend and implement solutions.
To assist the Senior Estate Surveyor in ensuring a system of adequate internal controls exist in respect of property purchases and disposals.
To support the Senior Estate Surveyor develop procedural manuals ‘playbooks’ to control processes, minimise risks and prevent financial loss and fraud.
To maintain working papers to provide a step by step documented history of each transaction and to maintain an audit trail.
