**Ecologist - Birmingham**

**6 months to 4 years’ experience. £21-27k**

Wardell Armstrong LLP is a successful multi-disciplinary consultancy with 13 offices across the UK, employing approximately 500 staff. We currently have circa 50 permanent ecologists across 8 offices and are looking to expand our team. With an interesting range of projects, you will be exposed to the full breadth of ecology works in a short space of time and will benefit from working closely with our other environmental specialists in arboriculture, acoustics, air quality and landscape design. Working together with our clients, the ecology team deliver solutions to challenging problems of varying sizes including residential, large scale mixed use developments, utilities & infrastructure, green energy (wind turbines, solar) and quarries plus a range of other bespoke projects and clients.. Your role will include undertaking ecological desk studies, protected species survey analysis and evaluation, producing technical reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments and others.
- Preferably have a minimum of a seasons work experience.
- Hold a degree or equivalent in ecology or a related discipline.
- Hold, or be working towards, ‘qualifying member’ status, or higher, of CIEEM.
- Holder of at least one protected species license preferable but not essential.
- A full UK driving license.
- Holder of a valid CSCS card is preferable but not essential.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
