Band 6 Physiotherapist (Neuro)

**Location**: North Bristol NHS Trust, Bristol, Bristol, BS10 5NB, UK - England

**Position Type**: Full-time

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and management to patients with neurological conditions, both in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients physical, neurological, and functional status to formulate individualized treatment plans.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, exercise programs, and manual techniques to improve patients functional abilities and promote independence.
Monitor and evaluate patients progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding conditions, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with departmental and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development activities.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the neurology department.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Significant experience in Neurological Physiotherapy, ideally at Band 6 level or equivalent.
A strong foundation in assessing and treating patients with various neurological conditions, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons disease, and spinal cord injuries.
Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills in designing effective treatment plans.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in neurological physiotherapy.
Experience with electronic patient records and documentation systems.

**Desirable**:
Postgraduate qualification or specialization in Neurological Physiotherapy.
Previous experience working within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting.
Experience with complex discharge planning and community-based rehabilitation.
