Asset Surveyor - Wirral Council

We are looking for a **Asset Surveyor **will be based at:
**Main duties and responsibilities**

This is a key role primarily to manage the Council’s commercial property portfolio in respect of town centre premises.

To be responsible for the procurement and maintenance of all contracts relating to the management of commercial premises.

To be responsible for budget management of commercial premises.

To provide advice and support in all estate management matters in the regeneration of the town centre.

To liaise with supply chain partners in support of the management of the town centre commercial area and to be responsible for instructing consultants and property agents for a wide range of property matters.

To provide professional advice to support the Councils Strategic Asset Management activities with strategic partners.

To negotiate with tenants, individuals, companies, and professionals.

To identify when Committee and Delegated reports are required, to be responsible for writing the reports to obtain authority to carry out property transactions and present reports to obtain Member authority, taking ownership through to decision and dealing with all queries.

To represent the department and Asset Management section at meetings on property related matters.

To instruct the Council’s Legal team on the detailed terms of property transactions including, leases, sales, acquisitions, easements, wayleaves and compensation and approve any amendments required.

To provide a broad asset management function to the Council relating to its wide and varied property portfolio to meet the Councils strategic objectives.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Asset Management: 2 years (required)
- Local Authority: 2 years (required)
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors: 2 years (required)
