- AP6041-24-035This exciting opportunity will see you take a lead role within our cell and tissue culture facilities, supporting both our taught modules and academic research.

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to our technical team in the department of Biological Sciences to take a lead role in our Cell Culture and Histology facilities as well as supporting the wider department. Working alongside both technical and academic colleagues, you will provide guidance to staff and students as well as taking a practical role within new and ongoing research projects. The role will see you guide undergraduate and Postgraduate students through the advanced techniques used in modern research as well as ensuring all activities are undertaken within professional and health and safety guidelines. As a Technical Instructor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of specialist equipment and facilities, ordering of consumable items and will use your skill and experience to overcome operational issues.

The School of Applied Sciences is based within our modern teaching facilities on the newly developed Moulsecoomb campus. The school specialises in research and education in the fields of Biology, Biomedical Science, Ecology and Conservation, Geography, Earth and Environment and Pharmacy.
