**About the Foundry Team**:
You will be joining a great team of 14 other employees who work closely together ensuring smooth and safe operations within the Foundry.

**Main Purpose of Role**:
To ensure all the casting stations are regularly supplied with the appropriate levels and quality of bulk metal to facilitate the efficient and effective running of production in line with the daily plan.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Metal Melt**
- Ensure that sufficient metal is melted and supplied on-time to meet the days production plan
- Fill the required crucibles for start of the shift
- Ensure all furnaces are at the correct working temperature at the start of shift
- Receive and store ingot and ensure usage in FIFO order (rotating stocks as required)
- Carry out maintenance and any necessary minor repairs on furnaces and crucibles as required
- Remove dross and filings - record weights
- Deliver materials to internal warehouse and maintain supply of stillages & post pallets
- Support the stock take process monthly - complete data sheets

**General**
- Support the development of a ‘right-first-time’ culture
- Carry out operator maintenance and housekeeping programme as required
- Report any equipment issues - FLT, crucibles, furnaces, etc
- Ensure consumables are stored and used effectively
- Ensure housekeeping is at the expected standard
- Support the training of others on process you are competent on
- Support the Quality investigation process
- Complete timesheet accurately

**Key Requirements and Preferred Experience**:

- Previous Foundry experience will be an advantage
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Self-Motivated with a strong team ethic

**Pay Rate**: £12.22 - £12.72 per hour, depending on skills and experience
**Working Hours**: Mon - Thurs 06:00 - 14:30, Fri 06:00 - 13:30
