Ridgeway & Purbeck Ward

We are seeking a position of a ward clerk covering a 5 days service. You need to be flexible and reliable to provide an efficient and effective reception service to patients, visitors and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

A flexible approach to a working shift pattern is required, this does not include night shifts. Your shifts may involve working weekends and bank holidays. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can work well under pressure, often using common sense.

Ridgeway and Purbeck wards are a busy, yet friendly place to work. Ridgeway ward is mainly an elective ward and Purbeck mainly an emergency ward both wards have a high volume of admissions and discharges.

You will be responsible for taking phone calls, liaising with the nursing team and booking transport for the patients, notes ordering, stores ordering.

General clerical duties, filling, using the hospital computer systems.

Reception duties in meeting members of the public
